Elementor and Elementor Pro
Pages from real, reusable widgets bound to your tokens, plus the full Theme Builder on Pro.
BuildPress drives Elementor as a real tool, not by guessing HTML. Your AI composes full pages out of reusable widgets that bind to your design tokens, manages global colors and typography, and binds dynamic content through Dynamic Tags. With an Elementor Pro license, the same conversation reaches the full Theme Builder.
Elementor
Your AI builds full pages out of real, reusable widgets, never loose generic elements dropped on a canvas. Every color and every type value binds to a kit global, never a hardcoded hex or px. The Elementor tools cover page and element CRUD, global colors, typography and theme styles, site settings, templates, dynamic-tag binding, and the V4 design variables, classes, and atomic elements.
How it works
- Every color and typography value binds to a kit global, rendered as CSS variables (
--e-global-color-*and--e-global-typography-*), never inline style. One token edit re-themes the whole site. - Every piece of content maps to a native Elementor widget. The HTML widget is banned for content, so your page stays editable in Elementor rather than frozen in a markup blob (third-party embeds are the only exception).
- Dynamic content binds through Dynamic Tags, never typed-in macros.
- After every data write, your AI clears the element cache, then render-checks the live page so a green tool call never passes for a broken render. See render verification.
Trigger your AI
Talk in plain English. Paste prompts like these to your AI:
Build me a homepage in Elementor with a hero, a 3-column features section, and a contact CTA. Set up my Elementor design system: primary #1A73E8, dark text, Inter for headings and body. Bind this product card's title to the post title and the price heading to the 'price_range' custom field.Requirements
- Works with the free Elementor plugin. Install and activate it, then pick Elementor as your base builder at
WP Admin -> BuildPress -> Settings -> General. - The V4 atomic features, Variables, and Global Classes need their Elementor experiments enabled. Your AI cannot turn on Elementor experiments itself, so it falls back to classic widgets or asks you to enable the experiment first.
Classic by default
Classic Elementor widgets are the default. Your AI only reaches for atomic V4 elements when you explicitly ask for them and the matching experiments are on.
Elementor Pro
With an Elementor Pro license, everything Pro adds becomes part of the same conversation. Your AI architects the whole theme, not just pages: Theme Builder headers, footers, single, archive, 404, and search templates wired to display conditions, popups with triggers and timing, forms, loop templates and Loop Grids, global widgets, and custom code.
How it works
Theme templates are stored with a type plus display conditions. A wrong display condition can 500 the whole site, so your AI validates the conditions before saving and render-checks the affected pages after it adds content. Pro Dynamic Tags (including WooCommerce tags) bind through the same dynamic-tag binding as free Elementor.
Display conditions are load-bearing
A single wrong condition on a Theme Builder template can take down the entire site, not just one page. Your AI validates conditions and verifies the live render after each change for exactly this reason.
Trigger your AI
Describe the template, popup, or loop you want. For example:
Create a site-wide header in the Theme Builder with my logo and nav, shown on every page except the landing page. Build a single-post template that pulls the title, featured image, and content dynamically. Make an exit-intent popup offering 10% off, shown once per session on the shop pages. Create a loop item card for my Portfolio CPT, then put a 3-column Loop Grid of it on the Work page.Requirements
- An active Elementor Pro license, which is Elementor's own plugin, plus the free Elementor plugin.
- Elementor selected as your base builder. See the integrations overview for how each integration registers only when its plugin is active.
